Jambox desktop app and jamboxapp.com — last updated 29 September 2026
These terms are between you and Tao Xie, an individual operating as Jambox ("we"), and they cover the Jambox desktop app and this website. By using Jambox you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use Jambox on the machines you control. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or work around the limits and checks in it — including the free-tier limits, the import credits, or the purchase requirement for Pro features.
An account is how a paid plan or an import credit reaches the machine you are sitting at. Keep it yours: you are responsible for what is done through your account, and you should tell us if you believe somebody else has access to it.
Limits and prices are shown in the app before you buy anything, and may change.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from the app or from Stripe — cancelling stops the next renewal rather than the current period. If something charged you in error, write to us at the contact address below and we will put it right.
The audio you load, the stems Jambox makes and the charts it detects are yours. They stay on your machine. You are responsible for having the right to use the material you load or import — Jambox is a tool for practising music you are entitled to practise, not a source of it.
Jambox works offline and does not depend on us being reachable, but some features — sign-in, imports, purchases, update checks — do need the service. We may change or withdraw features, and we may end the service; where a change would take away something you paid for, we will tell you first.
Jambox is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
